Betül Czerkawski

Dr. Betül Czerkawski is an instructional design and technology professor from the University of Arizona, specializing in emerging technologies. She is also a faculty member at the University of Arizona's Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Program. Dr. Czerkawski has taught and researched at the higher education level in a variety of roles, as a Professor, Program Director, Fulbright Grant Manager, Fulbright Specialist, Fulbright Scholar, Post-Doctoral Researcher, Distance Education Mentor, Course Designer and Journal Editor for more than two decades.

Her research interests include learning design, foreign language instruction, and the development of online learning experiences using emerging technologies. She has presented and published over 100 papers on these subjects. Most recently, she published an OER textbook, Integrating Immersive Technologies into Foreign Language Instruction: Case of Ukrainian Language and Culture.
